Certainly! Blue Star's centrifugal chillers feature an advanced two-stage centrifugal compressor paired with an in-built Variable Speed Drive (VSD). This combination ensures high performance across varying loads, making the chillers energy efficient even at full capacity. With an IPLV as low as 0.34 KW/TR, these chillers significantly reduce operating costs. The magnetic bearings in the compressor eliminate the need for lubrication, resulting in an oil-free design that enhances efficiency and minimizes maintenance efforts.
Oil contamination in conventional flooded evaporator designs reduces efficiency by forming a coating on the tubes, impairing heat transfer. Even a small percentage of oil in the refrigerant can significantly drop efficiency. Blue Star water-cooled centrifugal chillers eliminate the need for oil entirely, removing components like oil pumps, filters, and reservoirs. This oil-free technology enhances efficiency and dramatically reduces maintenance requirements.
Blue Star water cooled centrifugal chillers incorporate the eco-friendly refrigerant R-134a that has zero ozone-depletion potential. On an average, a 90 TR centrifugal chiller yields an annual CO2 emission reduction of over 53000 lbs.
Low-noise design eliminates the need for acoustic enclosures. The high-speed design reduces vibrations transmitted to the system.
